Spring 2016 Cisco CCNA Program

Description: A new CCNA Certification Program for Concept Alumni is currently in progress and will run January 19 – March 17, 2016, concluding with a certification test in late March. This cohort program is offered by the Concept Alumni Network in partnership with Advanced Technology Training Center, Tri-C.

CISCO Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification is a highly sought-after entry-level certification which validates the ability to install, configure, operate and troubleshoot medium-size routed and switched networks, including implementation and verification of connections to remote sites in a WAN. This training curriculum includes: basic mitigation of security threats; introduction to wireless networking concepts and terminology; performance-based skills; and an introduction to protocols such as IP, enhanced interior gateway routing protocol (EIGRP), serial line interface protocol frame relay, routing information protocol version 2 (RIPv2),VLANs, Ethernet and access control lists (ACLs).


Timing: Classes will be held January 19-March 17, 2016 on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6pm-10pm, with guided practice in a fully equipped lab on Mondays and Wednesdays. The program consists of 2 classes: January 19-February 11: Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices (ICND1) February 16-March 17: Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices: (CCNA Routing and Switching) v2 (Bootcamp)

Cost: Scholarships, including the cost of tuition, books, and the CCNA certification exam fee, were awarded to qualifying Concept Alumni for the Winter quarter by the Concept Alumni Network with the generous support of the Suerland Foundation.

Location: Advanced Technology Training Center, Tri-C downtown Cleveland campus
