On June 15, 2016 at around 9pm in the Chicago are, Joel Nashimana suffered potentially fatal fractures to his neck, hip, back, shoulder, and both knees. Because of his family's financial situation, they are not able to afford the expensive surgeries that he will have to undergo to heal. As an alumnus of the Chicago Math and Science Academy, Joel is part of the Concept Schools family, and because of that we are asking that you help fund his medical expenses to help alleviate his family of the financial burden they will have to carry otherwise.
