Natenon Tongtae

Natenon Tongtae is an alumnus of Horizon Science Academy Columbus, Class of 2010. Natenon studied Biomedical Engineering and graduated from The Ohio State University in 2015.

Briefly, describe your career path.
I completed my Biomedical Engineering undergraduate with domain focuses in Cell, Tissue and Molecular Engineering; Bioimaging and Biotransport. I finished my Pre-med track, but I felt that obtaining Professional Engineering would be a better fit. I am aiming for manufacturing positions related to medical devices, computer software or prosthetic.
 
What are you passionate about in your work/school?
I enjoy being involved in new research topics and concepts that improve the quality of life. I also enjoy learning history and from others where I could test boundaries to improve myself as a person and professional. I believe that the past can help shape the future. So, I must always continuously learn from different backgrounds and experiences.
 
Where is your career headed?
Since I am trying to join the job market, I am unsure where it will be leading. So, I will trust in my ability for now and be hopeful for the future. If I were to imagine, I would be working in a team to design and market a new product that helps people whether a medical device or convenience programming software.
 
How has Concept Schools impacted my success?
There are many people with different experience and backgrounds that I have come across in Concept Schools so being able to communicate is a skill that I have strengthened. The skill has helped by doing small talks in networking events, writing speeches for big events and being able to be curious in a diverse background. Also, they have helped with introducing me to other professionals that changed my perspective of life.
