Joseph Easley

Joseph Easley is an Alumnus of Horizon Science Academy Columbus High School, Class of 2007.

Briefly, describe your career path.
I am currently working in information technology as an inventory control specialist, supporting Government employees, contractors and military personnel with the Defense Logistics Agency at Defense Supply Center Columbus. The purpose of the mission for me is to support these customers’ needs as they support the warfighter.
 
How are you a game changer?
I am a game changer because I have leveraged my military skills and education to make a difference for those who serve, and as a military member myself I understand the sacrifice made to serve our country and those we love. I also help my community by running the audio-visual department at my church. I record live services and photograph events.
 
Where is your career headed?
My long-term goal is to become a lawyer in the navy and to also become a technology and media mogul who is passionate about serving others. I would like to become a senator one day so I can make a difference in the lives of Americans and Ohioans everywhere.
 
What are you passionate about in your work?
I love learning new things. Every day at my job there is always a way to learn a new skill or to perfect my current talent. There is always improvements to enhance the level of service we provide.
 
What is the most amazing or interesting thing that’s happened to you since graduating?
The most amazing thing I have experienced since graduating has been joining the military. I have had some life experiences that have led directly into my current career, and I wouldn’t change it for the world.
 
Your favorite high school memory?
Mr. Sherrod’s Government class in 11th grade. I never knew how the things I learned back then would mean so much to me now. It was one of my favorite experiences of high school.
