Briefly, describe your career path.
|
I am now a senior finishing up my last semester as a Marketing student in the College of Business and
Innovation at the University of Toledo (UT). After graduating from here, I plan to attend the University of
Cincinnati where I will study either Fashion Design or Interior Design. While there, I am hoping that one
of the programs required co-ops will lead me to a successful and fulfilling career!
|
What are you passionate about in your work/school?
|
I am extremely passionate about Japanese! I have been taking classes in it since my first semester at UT
and decided very early on to minor in the language. Since then, I have become the Vice President of the
Japanese Student Association and the President of the Japanese Calligraphy Club. Although I am no
master, I am able to do some Japanese calligraphy. I am also very interested in Japan’s
culture—traditions, school and family life, fashion, anime, manga, drama, music—I love it all! Other than
that, I get excited to learn about and experience different cultures in general.
|
Where is your career headed?
|
As mentioned previously, I plan to attend another college for a second degree. With all of my
experience, I plan to take my skills worldwide (especially to Japan) to share them with other people.
Wherever my path takes me, I hope that it is something that I really love and involves lots of travel.

How has your Concept Schools experience helped shape your success?
|
While being a student at Concept Schools, I was given the opportunity to experience things that I never
would have dreamed of. I received help in preparing for my ACTs and was placed in PSEO courses that
made my college career easier. I had a class specifically dedicated to applying for colleges and finding
the right one for me. I was taken on a trip to tour colleges and tourist destinations all along the East
Coast, was even named valedictorian of my awesome class, and so much more! All in all, it has helped
me develop into the well-rounded, positive, and successful individual that I am today.
